As I was chastising heathens for not knowing that the Epiphany celebrated the baptism of Jesus, little did I know that I was mixing up my feasts.

The Feast of the Epiphany celebrates the arrival of the Magi – a big celebration in Latin cultures where children actually get gifts on that day.  Makes sense, given that that’s when the baby Jesus actually got his gifts.

The whole baptism thing is celebrated a week later.

As Homer Simpson would say  – DOH!
